At the start of my vacation last week, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and launch a YouTube channel even though I didn’t feel good enough. I realized that success isn’t about having all the answers upfront. It is about unlocking my potential through action, and that true growth happens when we step in, experiment, and learn along the way. So, instead of waiting for perfection, I had to embrace the messiness of progress and start building momentum.

To get comfortable with being uncomfortable, I just launched a YouTube channel for Retirement Guru — something I have been putting off. I took a leap of faith with no expectations, just the desire to share my journey. I half expected to fail, but I knew if I focused on learning, success would be inevitable.

Within 17 hours, my first Short received 517 views, 7 likes, and 1 subscriber. And, while my videos didn’t go viral, I achieved 2.2k views in 7 days. A pretty decent start!

To me, this is proof that you don’t need to be perfect to start and that our limitations are self-imposed. There is a saying that “you don’t need to be perfect to start, but you need to start to be perfect”. I hope my experience will inspire you to take that first step towards your dream.

So, embrace the challenge, learn as you go, and watch your potential unfold.
