Status of My Investment in QDTE — Week 5

Looking good! I now hold 100 shares of QDTE at the cost of $4,179.50. Correct as at 18 Oct 2024, my investment in QDTE is summarised below. At the end of Week 5, QDTE’s share price closed at USD42.60 and paid me my weekly dividend of USD22.27. This gives me a paper profit of USD80.50 and total cumulative dividends received of USD52.86 for 5 weeks. According to DivTracker, QDTE’s TTM is 26.7% and this will give me an estimated Total Dividends of $1,216.61 for the next twelve months.

Funding my retirement ….

This week, QDTE’s dividend payout (after taxes) put SGD29.20 in my pocket to spend. While this amount is not huge, at an average cost of SGD9 per meal at a food court, SGD29.90 can buy me three meals. Not bad for a retiree who is living a simple life. Once again, though it is still early and I’ll continue to hold off on any decisions to increase my position in QDTE until the end of 2024. But, I must say, that my optimism for QDTE is growing because the dividend payments have remained relatively constant and the NAV has increased.
