In order to succeed in business today, individual abilities are not sufficient. As the world becomes increasingly complex, developing and delivering client solutions now require a multi-disciplinary approach. Working, or more importantly, performing as a team is thus fundamental to any organization’s success.
An effective framework that can be used to develop high-performing teams is the V3R — an acronym for Vision, Roles, Rules, and Relationships. The V3R framework is used to help teams (both old and newly formed) to establish the five elements found in all effective teams — Team leadership, Team communications, Team self-corrections, Mutual trust, and Team orientation.
Shared Vision
The V3R starts by rallying the team towards a shared Vision. While having a vision is essential — as it provides a defined end-state to work towards and coordinates the actions of everyone involved towards that end-state — a shared vision additionally motivates individual team members to take personal action towards the end-state.
