When writing on Medium, article length matters

Like many, I was attracted to write on Medium as I found it a great platform to share my thoughts with the world. The platform’s UX is simple and seamless and, for casual bloggers like myself, provides an overall positive experience whether I blog on my desktop or my mobile.

“I blog therefore I am.”

Like many bloggers, I would be lying if I said I did not aspire to monetize my writing. The dream being to live off the “passive” income from my blog as I travel the world and seek out experiences to live life to the fullest.

As I approach my one-year anniversary on Medium, I am reflecting on whether I should continue on Medium (or if they will let me continue as I have yet to reach the 100 followers minimum). But as I study my writing and the income I have earned from each published article, it dawned on me…
