As we start 2023, many of us will have set goals. Unfortunately, having goals is only one part of the equation. A Harvard Business study found that the 3% of graduates from their MBA who had their goals written down, ended up earning ten times as much as the other 97% put together, just ten years after graduation.

Writing down your goals has 5 main benefits:

1. Clarifies your thinking: Writing down your goals forces you to clarify your thoughts and to be specific about what you want to achieve. This can help you to better understand what you are working towards and to stay focused.

2. Increases commitment: When you write down your goals, you are making a commitment to yourself to achieve them. This can help you to stay motivated and focused on your objectives.

3. Makes your goals more tangible: Seeing your goals written down on paper can make them seem more real and achievable. This can help you to visualize your progress and to stay motivated.

4. Helps you to track your progress: Writing down your goals allows you to track your progress over time and to see how far you have come. This can be a source of motivation and can help you to stay on track.

5. Allows you to adjust your plan: If you are not making progress towards your goals, writing them down can help you to identify any obstacles or challenges you are facing and to come up with a plan to overcome them.

If you have not already done it, it is time you do ….
